Children & Young People
We have a Junior Church each Sunday morning (at the same time as the main morning service). Experienced adult leaders help the children to have a great time exploring the basics of the Christian faith - it is often messy with lots of glue, paint and sparkly stuff!
The children have a great time!
Children begin their time with us at the start of the main service
in Church. Then they go, with their leaders, into a separate space
to do their own thing. They re-join the main service later at the
start of Holy Communion so that they may share that experience with
their parents and other family members.
We welcome all the children to come forward at Communion to receive
a blessing from the Priest at the altar rail - we consider it so
important that our little ones receive God's blessing at this
time.
Towards the end of the service the children are invited to come to
the front of Church to show the rest of us what they've been doing
in Junior Church - they bring with them their drawings and other
things they've made - the adults love to see what the kids have
been up to!
At Christ Church we offer a safe and friendly environment for our
children, and all our Junior Church leaders and assistants are
fully DBS checked.
